Is the first cosy fires,
a bowl of decorative gourds ,
the colour of the last of the sunflowers,
transplanting wallflowers
and bronzey chrysanths!
But this autumn, it's also .................. the eclectic mix of flowers still holding their own in the cutting garden. I picked these flowers this afternoon after my back started to tell me it had had enough, something gorgeous to finish the day!
Achillea, amaranthus, antirrhinums, asters, bells of Ireland, calendula, chrysanths, clarkia, cornflowers, cosmos, dahlias, delphiniums, echinacea, geums, grasses, gyposophila, heleniums, larkspur, love-in-a-mist, phacelia (the scent from this was heavenly today) scabious, sunflowers, verbascum, verbena bonariensis, zinnias ....
.... it still looks like late summer!
Wow..... beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThank you, I'm amazed so many colours are still going strong in the garden I think the flowers are making up for lost time during the wet summer we had!
