Masking Tape Love!

Yes, it is, 'sad confession time' ... I love masking tape!  This does need further clarification and I promise it will all make sense.

I use ordinary, plain, masking tape for many things, sticking inspirational pictures on my office wall, sticking up pieces of lace if I am working on a particular project, keeping dried and pressed flower stems in place while I check their position for candle making and so forth.  After reading the stylist Sibella Court's books, I realise I'm not the only person to 'abuse' masking tape for all purposes other than the practical one it was intended for (I am hopeless and impatient with prep work when doing DIY around the house so masking tape needs other uses in my house).  It's the lovely raw, matt, papery, quality I like.  Anyway, I've been trying for a long time to source something appropriate for sticking around brown paper when I sell my bunches during the flower season.  At the moment I tend to use raffia but I wanted a sticky equivalent.  I found something quite beautiful some months ago but it's the first time I have used it today when wrapping up a bunch of dried larkspur for a customer. It is a flower obsessive's dream of masking tapes!

I am a sucker for anything with a classic pansy on it, so this one has to be my favourite.

Beautifully, flowery tape with not a shiny surface in sight, perfect!
